A small sum­ma­ry of how I did dur­ing the ses­sion. Things I did well. Things I need to keep work­ing on. Trade Reviews are part of my post-mortem but usu­al­ly I post those the next day.

My week­ly goals: 

• Trad­ing rules
  • Use SL scal­ing in case the prof­it tar­get for the set­up doesn’t pro­vide 2R for exam­ple for FA or VAA setups
  • No ear­ly exits, either hit SL or 2R target

DAX — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• 0.78xASR Wide IBR tra­vers­ing down to Val­ue with B clos­ing with­in Value
• I checked a pos­si­ble SL place­ment but couldn’t find a good one for a val­ue acceptance. 
• Then when price pulled back to new­ly formed M30 Sup­ply coin­cid­ing with M30 VWAP I decid­ed to go short tak­ing the accep­tance and devel­op­ing H4 break down from con­sol­i­da­tion as direction
• Price mean­dered at VAH before con­tin­u­ing low­er exhaust­ing ADR

Gold — What Mar­ket Nar­ra­tive Played Out? (Keep it short!)

• Price formed a Bull Engulf dur­ing D TPO with­in IBR and then shot up in E test­ing new D1 Supply
• Obser­va­tion: price can use the inside of a Q point as a support/resistance
• Price sus­tained the auc­tion even­tu­al­ly accept­ing value

Did I take advan­tage of any opportunities?

• DAX
  • Yes, based on Hypo 2 although a bit of a hybrid with Hypo 3
• Gold
  • I was con­sid­er­ing to go long around the close of D TPO as a bull engulf but due to the exten­sion being dur­ing E TPO and trad­ing right into D1 sup­ply I bowed out.
  • I guess the geopo­lit­i­cal cir­cum­stances could have war­rant­ed hop­ping on. I’ll review tomorrow.
