  • Use SL scal­ing in case the prof­it tar­get for the set­up doesn’t pro­vide 2R for exam­ple for FA or VAA setups

• M5 Bull Engulf dur­ing D wait­ed for a slight pull­back and went long as per hypo 1

How well did I man­age my phys­i­cal, emo­tion­al and cog­ni­tive states?

I did well here even when price got pret­ty close to tak­ing out my stop on the DAX trade. I fig­ured it is what it is and I can review lat­er what I could’ve done bet­ter. Luck­i­ly for me it turned around and even though hav­ing formed a poor low, due to the huge IBR, price reversed and hit my tar­get. 2nd day up 2R on a sin­gle trade. Nice work.

What did I learn today?

That I can be patient and let my trade do its thing. As it should. Either lose or hit the tar­get to reach a pos­i­tive expectancy. 

What’s one (or more) thing(s) I need to do more often?

Trust my assess­ment of the mar­ket nar­ra­tive and take action. THEN… let the trade work­out. Win or loss. 

What’s one (or more) thing(s) I need to do less often?

I start­ed wor­ry­ing a lit­tle bit when price was reach­ing my SL think­ing if I had made a mis­take. I told myself that if I did then I did and I could learn from it. Then went back to rac­ing. Lo and behold it worked out. 

Under the cir­cum­stances, did I per­form at my best?

I did well today. I could have how­ev­er added a hypo: strength from with­in IBR for Gold today. I will review thi tomorrow.
